A 009 narrow gauge model railway of Rhyd Ddu. The project was born in late 2005. This blog describes the planning, woodwork, track laying, wiring, DCC, scenery, locomotive and rolling stock. The layout is an impression of the Welsh Highland Railway (WHR) Rhyd Ddu station and Tro Ffridd reverse curves. 009 is 4mm scale (OO) narrow gauge using N gauge track.
That photo looks familiar. I think it's a bit earlier than mine. I guess you must have been in the huddle of photographers over by the frame whereas my photos were all taken from the platform/Spooners side with a pint in the other hand. Please tell me you weren't one of the gents who almost got run over, standing on the tracks taking a photo of one of the larger hunslets and not noticing Britomart propelling some wagons at them despite the stationmaster shouting! Suffice to say the train crew had spotted them and weren't going to mow them down.

oh no - not me! This had to be taken with my wife's camera though (hence the annoying date stamp) as I had run out of space on a 2gb SD card!
