Back from Wales... we visited the FR - including a trip behind Blanche in the first class saloon 102:
A 009 narrow gauge model railway of Rhyd Ddu. The project was born in late 2005. This blog describes the planning, woodwork, track laying, wiring, DCC, scenery, locomotive and rolling stock. The layout is an impression of the Welsh Highland Railway (WHR) Rhyd Ddu station and Tro Ffridd reverse curves. 009 is 4mm scale (OO) narrow gauge using N gauge track.

I'm jealous! I really want to get back to Wales and the Ffestiniog and WHR!

So am I. Paddling at Bryn y Felin looks like a great idea :)
What a wonderful trip! You seem to have done the N Wales narrow gauge justice. Travelling with Blanche in the observation car is as good as it gets...despite living in stone-throwing distance from the FR that experience eludes me for the moment!
It would be interesting to attempt to fit a sound card and dcc to a model of Blanche...but how would you get that furiously angry sound she has, sitting at "rest", or the eager terrier panting as she storms Dduallt!!
looking forward to seeing more progress on the model
